In the wake of the first quake – The Aftermath in Nepal

We were just beginning to live our life in normalcy after the 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck us on 25 April. Yesterday experiencing the massive jolt once again has traumatised us. Despite having hope and knowing that eventually our lives will be normal but the ‘fear’ of another aftershock at this very moment remains. Yesterday’s quake made us recall the devastating first quake which killed thousands, many left homeless without any food, shelter along with our immense historical ‘cultural loss’. This all has been tragic for us to grasp and come into terms with. We survived but it is terrifying to live in ‘fear’ everyday. Mother Nature please spare us! We only hope the terror will be gone now for always so we can proceed in rebuilding our lives and our country…
