Aim/Objective/Mission: Andhra Mahila Sabha is a non-profitable voluntary organisation with the specific objective of promoting education and training of women to overcome their socio-economic and political backwardness and empower them to participate in all aspects of national development. It has also established a regional handicraft training institute for the women. AMS runs a hospital and research centre providing various services including out patient services in eye care, general surgery, orthopaedics and in patient services including neo-natal unit and well equipped air conditioned operation theatres. It also runs a vocational training and rehabilitation centre, girls high school and colleges and legal aid centre for women.

Purpose : Sustainable women self help movement in India
Aim/Objective/Mission : APMAS has a great deal of experience in the provision of technical and managerial support to SHGs, SHG Federations and other major stakeholders in the self-help movement. Our work is primarily in Andhara Pradesh, but we also operate in other parts of India therefore we are able to make a sound contribution to the movement and towards its long-term sustainability.
Our Vision is to contribute to the sustainability of the Self Help Group movement in India.
Our mission is to enable SHPIs to provide quality services to strong and vibrant SHGs and SHG Federations. APMAS believes in self-reliance of community-based organizations engaged in microfinance and livelihood promotion, strives for excellence in whatever it does and promotes the empowerment of women.
APMAS will emerge as a national-level support institution by influencing appropriate policy and effective supervision of federations. Core values core values allow APMAS to provide the necessary framework to strive for excellence and deliver high quality services. They are guiding principles for the staff to achieve the shared vision of APMAS. These values have descriptive indicators and are communicated to the staff on a regular basis.
